He has been principal investigator of many research projects sponsored by Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology, state Biodiversity Board, Dept. of Science & Technology, ISRO, UGC, World Bank and other agencies. He is Joint secretary of Society for Environmental Conservation, Madhya Pradesh and also associated with various international and national organizations including IUCN, Ramsar Convention, UNEP-UNESCO, Wetland International etc. He is also associated with many governmental organizations like NCSTC, DST, Govt. of India and non-governmental organizations in science communication activities like children science congress, nature camps, workshops and trainings, educational material development for children, youth and teachers.
